Clobetasol propionate 0.05% is the active ingredient found in Dermovate Scalp Application. It is a member of the class of drugs known as steroids. It aids in reducing inflammation and swelling.

Dermovate is used to help ease the itching and redness associated with specific scalp issues. They include dermatoses and psoriasis that recur regularly and don't respond to less potent steroid creams, ointments, lotions, or scalp treatments.

Due to this medication being a very potent steroid, it should only be used if other weaker treatments have failed.
