HOW TO DEAL WITH ALLERGIES

These are the things that have helped eradicate year round and seasonal indoor and outdoor allergies. Read more!

WHAT IS AN ALLERGY

An allergy is a reaction the body has to a particular food or substance. Allergies are very common. They're particularly common in children. Some allergies go away as a child gets older, although many are lifelong.

Adults can develop allergies to things they were not previously allergic to.

SYMPTOMS OF ALLERGIES
Symptoms may include red eyes,
an itchy rash, sneezing, a runny nose, shortness of breath, or swelling.

CAUSES
When an allergic reaction occurs, allergens bind to antibodies that the body produces called immunoglobin E (IgE). Antibodies combat foreign and potentially harmful substances in the body.

Once the allergen binds to IgE, specific types of cells — including mast cells — will release chemicals that trigger the symptoms of the allergic reaction.

Histamine is one of these chemicals. It causes the muscles in the airways and walls of the blood vessels to tighten. It also instructs the lining of the nose to produce more mucus.

COMMON ALLERGENS

Potential allergens can appear almost anywhere. In theory, a person can have an allergy to any food.

The foods most likely to cause allergies are:

  • eggs, especially the whites
  • fish
  • milk
  • peanuts
  • tree nuts
  • wheat
  • soy

These are the things that have helped eradicate year round and seasonal allergies and recommendations made to clients. At least some of them will be helpful for you.  If we can answer any individual questions, please let me know.  You may already be doing some of these things but we have included everything.

1. Dietary changes: Going gluten and dairy free are game changers.

2. People with allergies are often histamine sensitive and their bodies may have difficulty producing natural anti-histamines. You will find that many healthy foods cause the body to produce histamines.  These include fermented foods, mushrooms, many vegetables and many foods with gluten and dairy.  Avoiding these foods have helped considerably.

3. Related to histamines, it can be very helpful to take supplements like Hista-Block.  These help the body make natural antihistamines in the gut.  Many homeopathic remedies are also helpful as is acupuncture.

4. Optimum gut health and probiotics that support anti-histamine production are helpful

5. Avoiding toxins, chemicals, artificial fragrances and other things that tax the immune system are helpful since they make the immune system work harder and add to the toxic load, like pollen and other allergens.

6. Avoid mold.  There are foods that people with mold sensitivities feel better when avoiding like cauliflower and mushrooms for instance.

7. Avoid sugar, a high carb diet and foods that fuel candida and yeast production.

8. Strengthen your adrenals. Adrenal glands, also known as suprarenal glands, are small, triangular-shaped glands located on top of both kidneys. Adrenal glands produce hormones that help regulate your metabolism, immune system, blood pressure, response to stress and other essential functions. We can suggest some supplements

9. Shower frequently to remove pollen and other allergens

10. If you tend to get sinus infections, at the very first sign, start putting drops of colloidal silver in your nose for at least a week.
