I don’t know about you but Covid-19 had gradually taken over my life. From losing attachments with friends and colleagues because of fear, stigmatization from a sneeze or a cough or just skepticism from exposing yourself by taking public transportation.
Covid Testing has now become one of our basic necessities in our daily life, like eating, sleeping and resting. There are laboratories in Ghana that are certified for testing for COVID-19 by the Ghana Health Service.
1. Akai House Laboratory
The first is Akai House Laboratory - Accra. Akai House Clinic is a patient-oriented facility in the heart of Cantonments. These are the charges;

Covid Results in 24 hours - GH¢550

2. Omni Diagnostics
Next is Omni Diagnostics. Charges are;

3. LEDing Medical Laboratory.
The third is LEDing Medical Laboratory. Their services apply to only person within the environs of Accra. Long distance locations would not be considered. Kindly contact them to find out if your location applies for their Covid home testing service. Charges include;
ON PREMISES:
Results within 6-12 hours - GH¢250
Results within 2-4 hours - GH¢500
HOME SERVICE: Results within 12 hours - GH¢500
Antigen Test For KLM Passengers:
Results in 30 minutes - GH¢290

4. Veterinary Services Department - Takoradi
The next laboratory is Veterinary Services Department - Takoradi. This laboratory is located in Takoradi. So, our Takoradi people, can visit them. The Veterinary Services Department does not offer home Covid testing unless it’s for a company. A test goes for GH¢350 and your results are available in 24hrs for clients that come to their facility to have their testing. Call 057 192 5379 for more information.
5. Nyaho Diagnostic Laboratory - Accra
This state-of-the-art facility offers access to our range of seasoned professionals and expert specialists and is tech-enabled to deliver fast healthcare solutions in a comfortable and serene setting.
Nyaho does not offer home testing, but they do allow walk-in patients.

6. Noguchi Memorial Institute
The next is Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research. The Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR), set up in 1979 as a semi autonomous institute of the University, is the leading biomedical research facility in Ghana.
Their home testing service for COVID-19 is only available depending on the situation. If you are very sick and cannot come to the Institute, a public figure and a large family doing the test. If you’re traveling, you’ll need to come along with your Passport. Walk-in patients pay GH¢350 for results within 48 hrs. Call +233 030 2940421 for more information.
7. Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research (KCCR)
As an international platform for biomedical research, KCCR’s modus operandi is based on the close collaboration between KNUST School of Medical Sciences (SMS), Ghana, and the Bernhard-Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine (BNITM), Hamburg, Germany. KCCR does not offer home testing.
KCCR only offers COVID-19 testing for people traveling, which cost GH¢350 and results within 24 hours. Call 032 206 0351 for more information.

9. The Trust Hospital Company Ltd
The Trust Hospital was established in 1992 as a not-for-profit health facility to provide healthcare to SSNIT staff and their dependents. The facility was later upgraded into a full-fledge hospital to extend its services to the general public. They do not offer homes testing.

10. MDS-LANCET - East Legon
The MDS-LANCET - East Legon does not offer home COVID testing. But they do allow walk-ins. MDS-Lancet Laboratories aims to deliver the best patient care and maintain the highest standard of laboratory service. The charges include;
