PEPPERMINN - PEPPERMINT OIL CAPSULES

Peppermint oil is used to relieve IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) symptoms, such as trapped wind, bloating, cramping and pain.

The active ingredient in this medicine is a natural oil extracted from the peppermint plant. Peppermint works by relaxing the smooth muscle of your intestine, reducing spasms and cramping.

The capsules are enteric-coated to help the oil reach the part of your bowel where it will be most effective.

Each capsule contains 0.2ml of peppermint oil.

These capsules contain a naturally occurring oil extracted from the peppermint plant which is used to relieve the symptoms of IBS. They work by relaxing spasms in the muscle of the bowel wall and helping to restore normal bowel contractions, decreasing the trapping of air and other bowel contents and relieving abdominal bloating, wind, discomfort and pain. Unlike some antispasmodic medications, peppermint oil Capsules act only on the muscles of the bowel and do not affect the rest of the body.

Directions

Adults and the elderly:

- Take one capsule three times a day, preferably before meals. Do not take the capsules immediately after food.
- Swallow the capsules whole with a little liquid. Do not break or chew them.
- If your symptoms are particularly severe, the dose may be increased to two capsules three times a day.
- Peppermint oil should be taken until your symptoms resolve, but may be continued for up to 3 months.

If you experience symptoms, worsening of your condition or notice no improvement after two weeks of treatment, please see your doctor.
